KABUL (Pajhwok): Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan (IEA) Supreme Leader Maulvi Haibatullah Akhundzada has called on officials to avoid favouritism.
Zabihullah Mujahid, the government’s spokesman, tweeted that the supreme leader met elders, religious scholars, governors and other officials from Badakhshan, Herat, Farah, Badghis, and Nimroz provinces on Saturday.
Akhundzada was quoted as saying: “In the past 20 years, things have been done to corrupt public minds. Now it is the duty of scholars and IEA official to work day and night to enlighten the people and pave the ground for a truly Islamic system.”
