KABUL (Pajhwok): As a trial work, the transformation of foreign forces military bases to Economic Zones (EZs) will kick off from Kabul and Balkh province, according to a statement on Sunday.
Earlier, Economic Commission of the caretaker government had decided to convert military bases left over from foreign forces to EZs.
A meeting of the Economic Commission headed by PM’s Aide Mullah Abdul Ghani Beradar after multi-dimensional debated decided that the process of foreign forces military bases transformation would be gradually handed over to the Ministry of Commerce and Industries, the statement said.
