PESHAWAR (Pajhwok): A woman of Afghan origin has filed in the Sindh High Court (SHC) a petition seeking Pakistani citizenship.
Nazi was born to Afghan parents in Pakistan, her counsel informed the court on Friday. She has tied the knot with a Pakistani man named Mir Hussain.
The ministry had asked the woman, having three children, to surrender her Afghan passport and get a domicile certificate before seeking Pakistan’s citizenship.
The deputy commissioner had told the petitioner she could not get a domicile certificate, which could not be issued to residents of another province, much less a foreign country . . .
