KABUL (Pajhwok): European Union Special Representative for Afghanistan Tomas Niklasson says the caretaker government in Kabul is committed to combating drugs and corruption.
Niklasson acknowledged the IEA’s commitment at a press conference here on his five-day visit to Afghanistan.
Raffaella Iodice, EU chargée d'affaires, was also present at Sunday’s media briefing.
The EU diplomat said he had met officials of the caretaker government, politicians, civil activists and journalists.
He added the current situation in Afghanistan was discussed with the authorities. More time was needed for interacting with the government, he believed.
