KABUL (Pajhwok): An exhibition of women-made handicrafts was launched in capital Kabul to support and motivate female entrepreneurs.

The event is organized by Rahi Danish workshop which was established nearly three months ago by a group of related women in Kabul city.

Hasna Roufi, manager of “Rahi Danish Sewing Workshop”, told Pajhwok Afghan News that the exhibition showcased handicrafts of women.

She wanted the caretaker government to support women entrepreneurs in the framework of Islamic conditions so that they could display their products even abroad.

Surya Yousefi, one of the team members of Rahi Danesh Workshop, also said this was the first exhibition after the opening of the workshop to showcase the products of entrepreneurial women.

She asked the caretaker government to support women entrepreneurs in exhibiting Afghan products at the national and international levels.

Khajista Rawan, manager of Ashrafi handicrafts, who displayed her products in the exhibition, told Pajhwok that she exhibited stone-made products produced by women.

She clarified that precious stones were collected from all provinces and turned into jewelry by women.

She considered holding such exhibitions useful for the progress of their work and wanted the arrangement of many such programs.

The authorities of the Islamic Emirate have always emphasized that they support domestic production and will provide necessary facilities for producers.

Government officials say businesswomen can play an important role in the country’s economic development and growth, and the government’s effort is to provide a platform for women’s activities by preserving Islamic values.
