ZARANJ (Pajhwok): Police in southwestern Nimroz province have shifted 660 drug addicts to southern Kandahar province for treatment and rehabilitation due to the lack of facilities in Nimroz, an official said on Monday.
Deputy Police Spokesperson Mawlavi Gul Mohammad Qudrat told Pajhwok Afghan News drug addicts rehabilitation centres in Nimroz province were inactive thus 660 addicts were shifted to Kandahar province for treatment.
He said the process to shift drug addicts from Nimroz to Kandahar started one week earlier and concluded today, adding that a total 690 drug addicts had been transferred to Kandahar for treatment.
