KABUL (Pajhwok): The Ministry of Foreign Affair (MoFA) has appointed Abdul Rahman Feda as Afghan consul-general in Dubai.
In a statement, the ministry said the diplomat was sent to the Afghan consulate in Dubai two days ago.
The acting consul will take over the diplomatic mission in the United Arab Emirates. The letter of appointment was signed by Foreign Minister Amir Khan Muttaqi.
Hafiz Zia Ahmad Takal, deputy spokesman for MoFA, confirmed the appointment of Feda as consul-general in Dubai.
Earlier, the Afghan embassy in Tehran was official handed over to the diplomats of the Islamic Emirate and the MoFA sent Fazl Mohammad Haqqani and six other diplomats to Tehran to prevent delays in delivery of services.
Also, China, Russia, Turkiye and Pakistan have accepted IEA-appointed diplomats as Afghanistan’s representatives.
Feda replaces Masood Ahmad Azizi, whose will complete his tenure on March 23.
