KABUL (Pajhwok): Afghanistan Under-19 team has defeated Bangladesh Under-19 team in the first match of a triangular tournament.
The tournament is kicked off in the United Arab Emirate (UAE) where Bangladesh, Afghanistan and Sri Lanka will contest two games each against one another.
Bangladesh won the toss and decided to bat first; they score 75 runs in the loss of all wickets.
Afghan side reached the target in 10 overs and lost three batters. Suhail Khan scored 33 and Mohammad Haroon scored 21 runs.
Afghan bowlers Bashir Ahmad took four wickets, Karmran Hotak three, Khalil Ahmad two and Yma Arab one wicket.
Earlier, Afghanistan and Bangladesh played two one day international and both the teams won one game each.
