KABUL (Pajhwok): The Islamic Emirate has welcomed the extension of the United Nations Assistance Mission in Afghanistan (UNAMA) as a positive step.
On Thursday, the UN Security Council (UNSC) adopted a resolution extending the UNAMA mandate till March 17, 2024.
Commenting on the adoption of the UNSC resolution, the IEA spokesman said: “The extension of the UNAMA mandate is a good step for Afghanistan.”
He remarked: “As much as the UN and other countries of the world strengthen their relations in a diplomatic way, it benefits all sides.”
