PUL-I-ALAM (Pajhwok): A mortar shell explosion has left four children dead and injured in the capital of central Logar province, security officials said on Saturday.
Maulvi Mohammad Imran, spokesman for the army’s 4th brigade, told Pajhwok Afghan News the children carrying home firewood found an unexploded mortar shell in Al-Tamor area of Pul-i-Alam on Friday afternoon.
As the children played with it, the mortar shell exploded, he said. Two of them were killed and as many others wounded, Imran added.
