KABUL (Pajhwok): Qatar’s Red Crescent Society (RCS) has pledged $17 million financial support to two hospitals in Afghanistan, the Ministry of Public Health (MoPH) said on Thursday.
Public Health Ministry’s Spokesperson Dr. Sharafat Zaman on his Twitter handle wrote the amount would be provided to the MoPH soon.
Without going into the detail, he said the amount would be spent on improving the quality of new wards and sections in hospitals and clinics.
He added Qatar’s RCS pledged to provide support for the construction of health clinics in 300 districts of Afghanistan.
It is worth mentioning that Acting Health Minister Dr. Qalandar Ebad has been on an official trip to Qatar from over the past one week.
