KABUL (Pajhwok): Dozens of children have returned home after being treated in Germany, says the Afghan Red Crescent Society (ARCS).
Fifty children suffering from severe burns and bone disease had been sent to Germany for treatment last year, ARCS said in a statement late on Saturday.
ARCS chief Maulvi Matiul Haq Khalis commended German charity foundations for facilitating the treatment of the children.
The German Peace Village has facilitated the treatment of hundreds of Afghan children with burns, bone-breaking diseases and heart holes.
