KABUL (Pajhwok): The US special representative has embarked on a new swing through the region for consultations with allies on issues including the situation in Afghanistan.
Currently in Doha, SRA Thomas West would meet Qatari colleagues, Afghan civil society leaders and partner missions, the US State Department said on Tuesday.
“In the UAE, SRA West will meet with Emirati counterparts, Afghan business and thought leaders,” said a statement from the State Department.
During his trip eight-day trip, the diplomat will hold consultations with Afghan political leaders, journalists, humanitarian professionals and human rights activists in Istanbul.
