MNDM, IRC ink $6mn aid distribution agreement

KABUL (Pajhwok): State Ministry of Natural Disaster Management (SMoNDM) and the International Rescue Committee (IRC) have inked agreement worth six million dollar to support to support people affected by natural disasters.

The agreement was signed between Mullah Mohammad Abbas Akhund, state minister for Natural Disaster and IRC Head Salma Bin Esa.

The ministry on its Twitter handle wrote that the agreement would enable around over 23,000 affected person get food and non-food aid of over six million dollar.

Earlier, spokesperson for the MoNDM, said that since new solar year over 2,625 houses has been completely destroyed by earthquake in thirty provinces. In addition, 827 livestock and crops on over 14,000 acres land had lost.
