KABUL (Pajhwok): New governors and security chiefs have been appointed in a major security and administrative apparatus reshuffle in compliance with a decree from the Islamic Emirate’s leadership.
Zabihullah Mujahid, the Islamic Emirate spokesman, wrote on his Twitter page that the appointments and reshuffle were carried out in compliance with order of the leadership.
He said Mullah Mohammad Ali Hanafi, former official of the Ministry of Defence, has been appointed as the governor of Kandahar, Qari Mohammad Ayub Khalid Haqqani, former chief of the 207th Al Farooq military corps, appointed as the governor of Kunar province.
