1,100kg of ephedra recovered from Uruzgan cave

TIRINKOT (Pajhwok): Counter-narcotics police have recovered 1,125 kilograms of ephedra from a cave in the Chinartu district of central Uruzgan province, an official said on Sunday

Uruzgan police spokesman Maulvi Zahid told Pajhwok Afghan News that the ephedra herb was skillfully hidden in a cave in Pathan area of the district.

He said the plant was used in making crystal meth drug.

It comes a week after security forces seized 2,850 kilograms of hashish in khas Uruzgan district.
