KABUL (Pajhwok): The United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (UNOCHA) says 2.4 million people with disabilities in Afghanistan are disproportionately affected by the current humanitarian crisis and funding is urgently needed to support them.
OCHA tweeted today that 2.4 million people were living with disabilities in Afghanistan and aid agencies planned to assist two million of them.
“To support these people with disabilities, urgent funding is required”.
Before this, OCHA had said that 28 million people in Afghanistan needed humanitarian assistance.
