QALA-I-NAW (Pajhwok): Some education experts and school students families have stressed over a specific uniform for the students and urged one uniform can help bring order.
They said currently most male students in Badghis wore clothes with different colors and went to schools adding that different colors reflected upon the lack of discipline and order.
Burhanduddin Faez, a teacher at one of Qala-i-Naw school, said: “Students came to schools with the clothes they wear at home, it is necessary that students should have proper uniform for school.”
He asked the Education Department to identify a specific uniform for the students and make sure that disorder is prevented.
“Unfortunately the lack of uniform caused disorder among students and there is urgent need that student should be given a specific uniform,” he said.
Mohammad Yousuf Surkhabi, another teacher, said: “The difference between student and common boys was uniform and it is very important.”
He shared similar view saying that uniform could bring discipline among students; they develop interest with lesson and take care of their cleanliness.
“We want the government to pay attention towards the students and schools because they are the future of the country and it was necessary to provide them with uniform.”
Rahmat Shah, the resident of Qala-i-Naw City, said: “There is no difference among students, every student wear whatever they wish.”
He asked the Education Department to pick a special uniform for the school students.
Gul Ahmad, another resident of Qala-i-Naw, said: “Students should wear a specific uniform in order to differentiate them with other people in society, this help bring order.”
Education Director Mohibullah Ehsan acknowledged the problem emerged from the lack of uniform for students and said the problem was general.
He said they were waiting for the ministry order and in line with the ministry order a specific uniform will be imposed on students.
“According to the draft that we received it is certain that uniform has been finalized but there was no official order in this regard as yet, we are waiting for orders from the centre.”
