Fire erupts at construction materials market in Jalalabad

JALALABAD (Pajhwok): A fire erupted at a construction materials market in Jalalabad city, the capital of eastern Nangarhar province, with efforts ongoing to extinguish the blaze.

Nangarhar Fire Department Director Haji Rasheed told Pajhwok the fire broke out in a market selling construction materials on Qalin street in the third district of Jalalabad city this afternoon.

He said the fire caused no casualties, but caused financial losses. He said that the fire brigade had reached the area. What caused the fire was yet to be known, he added.
