Treat people gently so they feel important, authorities asked

KABUL (Pajhwok): Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan (IEA) supreme leader Maulvi Haibatullah Akhunzada has asked government officials to keep their doors open to public and treat them in a way that they do not feel alienated and less important.

In his Eidul Adha message, Akhundzada said the Islamic Emirate did not interfere in the affairs of other countries and did not allow others to interfere in the internal affairs of Afghanistan.

He said: “All security officials are asked to pay attention to the well-being, service and safety of the people during the days of Eid, and take all necessary measures for the happiness and peace of the countrymen, inquire after the families of martyrs, disabled and orphans.”

“My recommendation to all the authorities is to follow your obligations seriously in order to serve, maintain security and well-being of the believing people in all areas of governance, open your doors to the people, do you work efficiently, never treat the people in such a way that they consider themselves less important or alienated,” Akhundzada added.

He added that the Islamic Emirate wanted good and constructive political and economic relations with the entire world, especially with Islamic countries.

He said: “We do not interfere in the internal affairs of other countries; in the same way we do not allow others to interfere in our internal matters or dictate us under any pretext.”

He urged all the pilgrims attending this year’s Hajj rituals to pray for the entire Islamic Ummah, especially the people of Afghanistan, so that Allah (swt) grant them happiness in this world and hereafter.

He strongly condemned Israel's atrocities against women, children and defenseless Muslims of Palestine and asked other countries to discharge their duty to prevent the great human crime and barbaric atrocities.

He also stated that “at the national level, the independence of Afghanistan has been restored once again, brotherhood and national unity strengthened, all kinds of prejudices such as race, language and region have been eliminated, the territorial integrity of the country has been preserved and all borders are strictly defended and protected.”

“Afghanistan’s national assets, such as customs and revenues, mines, state land, forests and other common assets have been reclaimed from powerful individuals and now being protected as state assets,” he said.

Akhundzada said: “With the arrival of the Islamic Emirate, women’s right have been secured and the past negative effects on women’s hijab and misogyny are about to end, all the Sharia rules are being implemented in the country.”

He said: “All those who pose a threat to peace, we request them to start a prosperous life with their fellow citizens in their own country, to help in peace and stability.”
