PUL-I-ALAM (Pajhwok): Around 500 acres agriculture land has been destroyed by flash floods in the Azra district of central Logar province, an official said on Saturday.
Agriculture Department Spokesperson Shahidullah Hamraz told Pajhwok Afghan news flash floods triggered last week in the Kazhwal, Babaro, Akbarkhelo, Bari Chotri, Jankhel, Manzwam Tangdar and Mangalo area.
He said no individuals was killed or injured but crops and orchards on around 500 acres of land had been washed away.
He added, survey teams would soon visit the district to inspect the losses inflicted on people.
Rahimullah, a local resident, said recent flash floods inflicted heavy losses on people in Azra district.
He said hundreds of orchards and standing crops had been destroyed while some housed and school also got damaged.
It is pertinent to mention that last month flash flood and torrential rains in the Babos and Kolangar area of Logar inflicted 53 million afs worth losses on people.
