FARAH CITY (Pajhwok): The Public Health Department of western Farah province says the residents of many areas of Pur Chaman district are lacking access to health facilities.
Deputy public health department director Din Mohammad Abdul Haq told Pajhwok Afghan News most areas in Pur Chaman district were without healthcare services.
He said no health centre exited in Brozi Fask, Dokhari, Kot, Zaminda, Kashtbaj and Toli Sharif areas of the district.
He said a survey in this regard had been completed by their department and these areas would get health facilities in near future.
“Currently 12 health centers are available in the district, but they are not enough considering the district population,” he added.
He added Pur Chaman was a remote district and its location had deprived the people from health facilities.
Residents of the district also complain about lack of health services.
Abdul Hamid Hameed, a tribal elder, said several areas of the district had no health facility.
Haji Shah Agha, a resident of Toli Sharif area, said about 1,000 families were living in their area, but there was no health facility.
