KABUL (Pajhwok): The World Food Program says 10,000 tonnes of wheat aid from India has arrived in Afghanistan.
WFP tweeted: “Wheat donated by the Government of #India @MEAIndia
@dpa_mea to @WFParrived in Herat where it was milled for distribution to hungry families across #Afghanistan.”
The latest shipment reached Herat province through Iran’s Chabahar port.
This is India's fifth humanitarian food aid to be sent through Chabahar port.
Earlier, India had announced donating more than 40,000 tons of wheat to Afghanistan in 2022.
