FAIZABAD (Pajhwok): Two armed robbers have been killed in a clash with security forces on Faizabad-Kashim highway in northeastern Badakhshan province, an official said on Monday.
Mahazuddin Ahmadi, director of information and culture quoted the police headquarters as saying: “About five armed robbers who wanted to snatch passengers’ items, two of them were killed as a result of clash with security forces in limits of Argo district.”
He said the other three robbers managed to escape the area, but a manhunt launched for them.
He added two Kalashnikovs were also seized from the slain robbers.
