KABUL (Pajhwok): Minister of Foreign Affairs Amir Khan Muttaqi and Russian Ambassador Dmitry Zhirnov have exchanged views on issues of common interest.
Zhirnov briefed Muttaqi on the upcoming Moscow Format meeting on Afghanistan, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MoFA) said.
According to a statement from MoFA, the ambassador invited the minister to attend the upcoming huddle in Moscow.
While hailing the invitation, the minister acknowledged the Moscow Format was playing a vital role in fostering coordination among regional countries.
Afghan government delegations had also participated in previous Moscow-hosted meetings, Muttaqi recalled.
He hoped both Kabul and Moscow will make good use of the meeting within the framework of their diplomatic relations.
Muttaqi urged the ambassador to facilitate visas issuance to Afghan businessmen and citizens so they could easily travel to Russia.
