Woman killed, shepherd injured in landmine blast in Parwan

CHARIKAR (Pajhwok): A 45-year-old woman has died of a deep cut in her throat and a man was injured in a landmine blast in central Parwan province, police said on Wednesday.

Parwan police in a statement said the woman died in Siahgard district and the man was injured in Shinwari district.

It identified the woman as 45-year-old woman Johar Gul who succumbed to her injury in Qamchaq area.

The statement said the cause and motive of the incident was unclear, but the body of the woman had been transferred to Kabul Forensic Department for autopsy.

The statement also said a shepherd named Abdul Razzaq was injured due to a landmine blast in Harqul area of Shinwari district.

Abdul Razzaq was taken to Parwan Civil Hospital for treatment.
