ATLANTA (Pajhwok): Former President Hamid Karzai has strongly condemned Pakistani forces artillery shelling into the Barmal district of southeastern Paktika province, according to a statement on Friday.
In a statement, the former president’s office, said artillery shelling by Pakistani forces into Afghan territory was a clear invasion of the Afghan soil and in contradiction with international values and norms.
He called on the Pakistani authorities to change their policy towards Afghanistan and adopt the policy of brotherhood and good neighborhoods instead of supporting extremism and violence.
Earlier Mashal Radio claimed citing Pakistani officials that the artillery shelling took place on July 25 targeting Pakistani Taliban hideouts, no casualties were reported in the attacks.
