KABUL (Pajhwok): The issue of illegal SIM cards has been 97 percent resolved, said acting Telecommunication and Information Technology Minister Maulvi Najibullah Haqqani on Wednesday.
Addressing government accountability program at the Government Media Center, Maulvi Najibullah Haqqani said before the Islamic Emirate’s takeover, the issuance of illegal SIM cards was a serious problem.
He said illegal SIM cards were used in theft, kidnapping and various other crimes, but now the issue had been resolved to a great extent.
He clarified that an independent system had been prepared and the system was also connected to the statistics office.
