KHOST CITY (Pajhwok): Security forces have arrested 14 magicians in southeastern Khost province, police said on Monday.
Police spokesman Mustaghfir Gurbaz told Pajhwok Afghan News the sorcerers were detained in the Lakano area of the provincial capital and Zazi Maidan district.
He said the wizards were detained during a joint cooperation by security forces and the Department of Vice and Virtue.
Eight of the detainees belong to provincial capital and six to Zazi Maidan.
The arrests in Khost come a week after the Ministry of Vice and Virtue banned magic and denounced it as an illegal act.
