PESHAWAR (Pajhwok): Organisations working in Afghan refugee villages in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province have been asked to prioritise the creation of higher secondary schools for girls.
The call came in a research study, which indicates a lack of higher secondary opportunities for Afghan girls in Pakistan’s northwestern province.
Haripur district, having a refugee population of around 100,000, had no secondary school for Afghan girls, the study revealed.
Peshawar University’s Political Science Department researchers shared the findings of the study covering the Tehkal area of Peshawar, Haripur and the Drosh locality of Chitral district.
