Nearly 300 more Afghan refugees arrive in Canada

KABUL (Pajhwok): About 298 more Afghan refugees have reached Canada and their number would reach to 40,000 by the end of 2023, Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) said.

IRCC wrote on its X page: “Today, we welcomed 298 Afghan nationals to Toronto, where they will continue their journey to approximately 19 communities across Canada, including Ottawa, Surrey, and Thunder Bay.”

According to IRCC, Over 37,000 Afghans have already arrived in Canada, and we are on track to welcome at least 40,000 by the end of this year.
