KABUL (Pajhwok): Over 13 percent people in Afghanistan suffer from a kind of disability currently, an official said on Monday.
Habibullah Akhundzada, director Health Services Provision, told a gathering marking the international physiotherapy day that based on Asian Foundation Survey, currently 13.9 percent people in Afghanistan suffering from a kind of disability.
He said: “Due to population growth, increase in the number of old people, surge in heart disease, diabetes, malnutrition, traffic accidents and conflict the number of disabled people was on the rise.”
