ATLANTA (Pajhwok): The match between Afghanistan and Hong Kong in the AFC Under-23 Asian Cup 2024 Qualification ended in a draw 0-0 and Philippine defeated Afghanistan in a friendly match on Tuesday.

The U-23 men’s football qualifying matches are held in Tashkent, the capital of Uzbekistan. Teams from 20 countries are competing to quality for the next year competitions in Qatar.

Afghanistan’s Football Federation (AFF) said Afghanistan faced Hong Kong in the qualifiers and the match ended in a draw 0-0.

The Asian Football Confederation announced that the two teams will face each other in a preparatory match, but the match will not help them advance to the Asia Cup.

Prior to this, Afghanistan U23 football team lost both matches to Iran and Uzbekistan and could not advance further.

According to another report, Afghanistan and Philippine played a friendly match today and Afghanistan lost to Philippine 1-2.

The AFF said that the competition was held in Manila, the capital of the Philippines, and the Philippines team scored two goals and Afghanistan scored one.
