PM orders officials to avoid travel on Salang highway

ATLANTA (Pajhwok): The prime minister has ordered all civil and military personnel to avoid traveling by the  Salang highway until the completion of its reconstruction.

Bakhtar News Agency quoted him as saying everyone knew the highway was being rebuilt by the Ministry of Public Works and was closed for all kinds of traffic.

In line with the prime ministerial directive, all employees of government agencies and military personnel were asked to refrain from travel on the route until the completion of its works .

They were asked not to hinder work on the busy highway, connecting Kabul with northern Afghanistan. The repair of the road, a project of national importance, should not be impeded, he concluded.
