2 killed, 6 wounded as families clash in Nangarhar

JALALABAD (Pajhwok): Two people have been killed and six others injured during an armed clash between two families in eastern Nangarhar province, an official said on Tuesday.

Police spokesman Abdul Basir Zabuli told Pajhwok Afghan News the incident took place in Ahmadzai Staff area of Sara Rod district. The families of Feroz and Ali Ahmad clashed over children’s fight on Monday.

He said both families used weapons and two members of Feroz’s family were killed and Feroz and his two other family members were injured and three members of Ali Ahmad’s family were also injured.

A resident on the condition of anonymity told Pajhwok that villagers could not intervene because both sides used weapons and officials arrived and transferred the victims to hospital and arrested some people.
