FARAH (Pajhwok): A large and important tunnel as part of the Bakhshabad dam construction project has been completed in western Farah province.
Work on the 530 meters long and 9 meters wide tunnel was launched four months ago by a construction company.
Bakhshabad project engineer Shah Mahmoud told Pajhwok they had been working on the tunnels for the past four months. “The big tunnel was completed on Friday and the small tunnel will be drilled and connected within a week.”
He said concrete works on both tunnels would be finished in the next six months.
