Ebad-led delegation leaves for Qatar

KABUL (Pajhwok): A four-member delegation headed by acting Minister of Public Health Dr. Qalandar Ebad has left for Qatar to attract international cooperation in improving the country’s health sector.

The Ministry of Public Health (MoPH) wrote on its X handle that Dr. Ebad and the delegation accompanying him will meet with high-ranking Qatari officials and representatives of international health organizations and representatives of some other countries during the trip.

It said the purpose of the trip was to attract international cooperation for standardization of health services in the country.

Dr. Sharaft Zaman, spokesman for MoPH in a video clip, said the delegation would seek cooperation to improve the health sector.

He added MoPH was working to standardize the county’s health system and such visits were important to achieve the goal.
