Work on 15 uplift projects kicks off in Logar, Maidan Wardak

PUL-I-ALAM (Pajhwok): Work on 15 reconstruction projects has kicked off in central Maidan Wardak and Logar provinces, according to an official and a statement on Saturday.

Shapour  Arabzai, the Education Department spokesperson in Logar, told Pajhwok Afghan News work on 13 reconstruction project at the cost of 17 million afs started today (Saturday).

These projects included the construction of a school building, digging drinking water wells for 10 schools, equipping this wells with solar panels, hand washing facilities, concert made dustbins and toilets construction.

He said 600 students will be provided with school building, 300 teachers and around 8,000 students would be provide with clean drinking water facility.

He hoped similar projects would be implemented in other districts of Logar as well.

Syed Jalaluddin Jalalzai, told Pajhwok Afghan News these projects would help generate work opportunities and also some existing problems would be addressed.

Separately, work on the construction of district buildings for Jaghato and Narkh district will start, the projects will cost 40 million afs, a statement from the Governor House said.

Maidan Wardak has nine districts in which Jaghato, Narkh, Daimerdad and Jalrez are without district headquarters buildings.
