Badri holds talks with money changers on afghani stability

KABUL (Pajhwok): Da Afghanistan Bank (central bank) acting head Hidayatullah Badri held comprehensive talks with money changers on the stability of the afghani’s exchange rate.

In a meeting with representatives of the Money Changers Union, Badri stressed promotion of the stability of the exchange rate of the afghani and said work should be done to mechanize money changers’ activities.

In a press release, the central bank said Badri held a coordination meeting with money changers.

Badri spoke in detail about the protection of the value of the afghani, compliance with the laws and regulations of the central bank and the importance of promoting the afghani and its stability.

He emphasized increased coordination between the central bank and money changers and deemed their role valuable in money markets.

Badri heard opinions and suggestions of the money changers and promised cooperation.
