MAZAR-I-SHARIF (Pajhwok): The reconstruction work of a part of Roza building in Mazar-I-Sharif, the capital of northern Balkh province has kicked off, an official said on Thursday.
Azizullah Ansari, acting head of Roza, said the reconstruction of part of Roza had been kicked off with the 10 million fund provided by the acting Interior Minister Serajuddin Haqqani.
He said the reconstruction work included the marble installation on 5,000 metres area, reconstruction of the library and some other parts.
Hashmatullah, the resident of Mazar-i-Sharif, said although the reconstruction work of Roza had started, adding that government should also reconstruct parts of the shrine associated to Hazrat Ali.
Ghulam Rasoul Malakzai, another resident of Mazar-i-Sharif, said if the damaged sites of Roza not rehabilitated it would suffer more damage with each passing day.
He asked relevant officials to pay attention to the damaged sites of Roza.
According to the officials daily up to 10,000 people pray at Roza and visit Hazrat Ali shrine.
