LASHKARGAH (Pajhwok): Finance Minister Mullah Abdul Nasir Akhund on Thursday visited Bust Tasadi during his trip to southern Helmand province and assured to explore market for products.
He said two garments factories in Helmand would be rehabilitated which would help regenerate market opportunities for the Helmand Bust Tasadi.
“Considering he budget, we had been trying to explore market for the production of factories and improve their activities.”
He said Helmand cotton’s quality is high comparing to the cotton of other areas and the Ministry of Finance would work hard to explore market for this industry.
He said efforts are underway to allocate fund for the industrial development nationwide and develop them.
Helmand Governor Mawlavi Abdul Rahman Kunduzi said the purposed of finance minister’s trip was to visit the Bust Tasadi and take efforts for the improvements of production.
Eng. Mohammad Hassan Niyazi, deputy head of the Bust Tasadi, said there was need for the exploration of market for their products.
“Although the dollar value had declined but comparing to the past we have not suffered loss,” he said.
He said the Bust Tasadi machinery was old but still it had the capacity of up to 30,000 tonnnes of production.
