GHAZNI CITY (Pajhwok): The acting interior minister says the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan (IEA) remains committed to creating facilities for the refugee families returning from Pakistan.
During his trip to Ghazni province, Sirajuddin Haqqani said IEA had formed a committee to welcome and provide the necessary support for the returnees.
Addressing a gathering attended by religious scholars, local officials and residents of Ghazni, he said the government would discharge its responsibility to make life easier for the returnees.
The minister slammed as unfair Pakistan’s decision on forcibly deporting Afghan migrants. He said the move had been denounced by everyone, including IEA.
Governor Mohammad Amin Omari, told the gathering they were also welcoming refugees returning from Pakistan and all facilities were being provided to them.
Omari asked businesspeople and well-off citizens to support the returnees.
Maulvi Abdul Rahman, deputy head of the Ulema Council, said the interim government was a system of justice, fairness and transparency. These principles guaranteed stability of the current system, he commented..
