KABUL (Pajhwok): The Supreme Court says a man has been publically punished after being convicted of adultery in capital Kabul.
The Supreme Courte wrote on its X handle the man received 35 lashes and was sentenced to one year in jail by the Kabul primary court.
The punishment was carried out in the presence officials of the courts, religious scholars, and common people on Sunday.
Previously, a number of people had been punished in public for different crimes in various provinces.
