ASADABAD (Pajhwok): One thousand individuals have been provided work opportunities in two districts of eastern Kunar province and hundred other returnees and victims of natural disasters have been provided with assistance, an official said on Monday.
Eng. Wali Jan Danish, designing engineer of the Agriculture Department, said the check dams, steams and retaining walls projects were started in the Narai and Sarkano districts of Kunar in which 1,000 people were provided work opportunity.
He said these projects were implemented in 17 areas of these districts in order to prevent the flash floods destruction and wastage of rain water.
