JALALABAD (Pajhwok): A kidnapped child has been killed in captivity and security forces have launched a manhunt for his murderers in eastern Nangarhar province, an official said on Monday.
The slain child named Muhmmad Ilyas Momand had been kidnapped in Eidgah mosque area in the limits of fourth security district of Jalalabad on Thursday.
The child’s father Engar Momand told Pajhwok Afghan News unknown men contacted his father-in-law on his mobile phone and demanded $50,000 in ransom on the same evening, but he had no money.
