2 children killed, 8 wounded in Baghlan explosion

PUL-I-KHUMRI (Pajhwok): Two children have been killed and eight others wounded when an unexploded shell went off in northern Baghlan province, a police official said on Wednesday.

Police spokesman Maulvi Sher Ahmad Burhani told Pajhwok Afghan News that the incident took place in Kohna Qala village of Baghlan-i-Markazi district on Tuesday.

Dr. Obaid, head of the district’s civil hospital, confirmed receiving two bodies and eight injured.

According to him, the slain children aged nine and 10.

On the other hand, police headquarters said that one child was killed and eight more wounded in this explosion.
