Heavy snow closes Ghor-Kabul highway for traffic

FEROZKOH (Pajhwok): The Ghor-Kabul highway has been closed for all kinds of traffic in western Ghor province due to heavy snowfall, an official said on Sunday.

Ghor Governor’s spokesman Maulvi Abdul Wahid Hamas told Pajhwok Afghan News: “Heavy snowing has clogged the Ghor-Kabul highway since Saturday”.

He said several passenger buses were stranded on both sides of Kotal Bakak pass.

He said the exact number of stranded passengers was not known, but snow-clearing team was trying to help them.
