KABUL (Pajhwok): The US Department of State will hold a meeting with Boston University under the title “University Network for Afghan Women” next week, the university said in a statement on Thursday.
The statement from Boston University said the meeting would be held in the US Department of State on February 27.
US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken would speak and Rina Amiri, US special envoy for Afghan women, girls and human rights and Thomas West, special representative, will attend the meeting.
The US-Afghan Women’s Council, is a non-partisan public-private partnership that convenes governments, civil society and the private sector around the goal of supporting Afghan women and girls’ education, healthcare, economic empowerment and leadership.
Boston University is one of the most prestigious and the fourth largest universities in US located in Massachusetts City.
