KBAUL (Pajhwok): Chinese special envoy for Afghanistan Yue Xiaoyong has discussed joint efforts with deputy Foreign Minister of Turkmenistan regarding Afghanistan’s reconstruction.
Xiaoyong wrote on X: “Great pleasure meeting Mr. @AhmetKakabayevichGurbanov, #Turkmenistan DFM in my visit in Ashgabat.”
He said they were enhancing their joint efforts to help Afghanistan in its reconstruction.
China was clearly supportive of Turkmenistan on holding the 5th Afghanistan Neighboring countries FM meeting 2024.
He added his country was ready to further work with the UN and regional partners to enhance engagement with Afghanistan to help the war-torn country for its peace, stability, reconstruction and common prosperity.
