KABUL (Pajhwok): The United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA) says 23.7 million people in Afghanistan will require humanitarian aid in 2024.
UNOCHA wrote on its X handle: “Humanitarian actors reached 8.0M girls & 9.2M women throughout #Afghanistan with life-saving support in 2023.”
“In 2024, 23.7M ppl, 52% of them women & girls, will require humanitarian aid; let's stand with Afghan women & girls, who are among the most affected.”
Recently, the World Food Program announced it urgently needed 760 million dollars for food aid and the implementation of its programs in Afghanistan for the next six months.
